Summer Outdoor Skills Camps
The Preserve hosts two summer camps
(July 21-24 & August 4-7)
to learn a variety of outdoor skills in a wilderness setting.
Camps are 4 days and 3 nights long.
Backpacking trips led by experienced professional guides. Kids will be challenged to grow and participate as they explore the ruggedness of the Spanish Peaks and the uniqueness of the world’s first national park. Trips are age and experience dependent. Transportation, food and basic gear provided. Advanced registration required.
Grades 5 – 9, beginner to advanced

July 8 – August 25, permit dependent
Camp Moonlight is an adventure-oriented program that emphasizes education, awareness, and conservation values while fostering a greater appreciation for the natural world.
